Grapple Truck Services in Palm Beach and Broward: A Local Pickup Guide
7 min read · Updated 2026-10-28
A grapple truck can load an existing outdoor debris pile with a truck-mounted grabbing arm when materials and access are suitable. In Palm Beach and Broward, check your property's actual collection program before paying for private pickup, then compare loading, disposal and cleanup against the same job scope.
Boynton Beach brush pickup: check the exact service area
Boynton Beach’s residential vegetation page lists one pile up to 3 cubic yards for weekly pickup, with large vegetation cut to 4-foot lengths and limbs no more than 4 inches in diameter. Loose clippings and leaves, clearance, set-out times and large trunks or stumps have their own requirements. Check the official rules and pickup schedule before staging a pile. These are City collection terms—not All Out Rubbish’s private hauling limits or prices.
A Boynton Beach mailing address outside city limits may use another provider. Palm Beach County, the Town of Palm Beach and West Palm Beach are not interchangeable service jurisdictions. For contractor-generated debris, condos or commercial properties, confirm the actual collection contract and eligibility. Guidance checked October 28, 2026.
The pile is ready—but which pickup makes sense?
A tree-trimming job in Boynton Beach, a renovation in Boca Raton and a landscape cleanup at a Fort Lauderdale community can all leave an outdoor pile. They do not necessarily need the same pickup method. The right starting point is the material, the loading access and the collection program covering the property—not the size of a truck in an advertisement.
A knuckleboom grapple truck uses an articulated loading arm with a grabbing attachment to lift reviewed debris into its truck. Grapple truck debris removal may suit accessible brush, tree limbs and other approved material. It does not automatically include cutting standing trees, extracting stumps, grinding vegetation or clearing debris from inside a building.
Start with the collection provider, not just the county name
A Palm Beach County mailing address does not mean every property follows one collection rule. The Solid Waste Authority publishes guidance, and municipalities can have their own programs. Confirm who collects at your exact address, which materials qualify, the pickup date and any set-out restrictions. Check large logs, stumps and work generated by a paid contractor separately rather than assuming they qualify as routine yard waste.
Broward County's unincorporated-area bulk guidelines exclude construction, remodeling and demolition debris. That is guidance for its unincorporated collection program—not a rule to apply automatically to Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood or every other Broward city. Use the county's city-contact directory or your municipality's collection office to establish the right rules.
For a condo, HOA or commercial property, ask the manager about the property's collection contract. Nearby curbside service does not establish eligibility for your building. If public or contracted collection covers the pile and the timing works, private hauling may not be needed.
Grapple pickup, dumpster or carry-out crew?
Grapple loading can make sense when the debris already exists outdoors and an operator can safely reach it from an approved truck position. A dumpster may suit an ongoing renovation where material accumulates over several days, provided placement is approved and somebody will load it.
Items inside a home, down a hallway or behind restricted access may need a carry-out crew or a different loading method. A loading arm is not a solution to every obstacle. Ask about the complete job rather than requesting a particular truck before its suitability has been reviewed.
Plan access before moving the pile
Photograph the approach road and the possible loading area as well as the debris. Overhead wires, narrow entrances, parked cars, soft shoulders, fences and pedestrians can affect the plan. Do not stage material beneath utility lines or block a sidewalk, drain or travel lane to make pickup appear easier.
For gated properties, identify the approving contact, entry procedure and permitted working hours. Ask for staging instructions before moving debris. A private pickup quote does not grant permission to park in a public street or cross somebody else's property.
Keep the material description specific
Brush, palm material, logs, concrete, soil and metal affect loading and disposal differently. A pile covered in leaves can contain heavy or unsuitable material underneath. Dense rubble can reach a payload limit before a truck bed is full; advertised volume is not an allowable weight.
Keep vegetation separate from construction material until the hauler reviews the job. Flag liquids, batteries and unknown or potentially hazardous waste. Do not assume every material belongs in a grapple load or that one company uses another company's published equipment specifications.
Compare the whole quote
Send each company the same address, photos, material description and requested timing. Ask whether the quote includes loading, haul-away, disposal, extra trips and final cleanup. Agree how changes to the pile or access would be handled before work begins.
Mechanical pickup can leave small twigs or grit. Sweeping, hand cleanup, pressure washing and lawn restoration are separate scope questions. For tree crews, identify who handles haul-away before cutting starts; for property managers, identify who can authorize work and changes.

Common questions
Should I check city pickup before hiring a grapple truck?
Yes. Confirm the provider serving your exact property, accepted materials, set-out conditions and collection timing. Private pickup is separately arranged and quoted; it is not automatically necessary for eligible public collection.
Do Broward's unincorporated bulk rules apply to Fort Lauderdale?
Do not assume they do. The county's unincorporated guidelines cover that collection program. Confirm Fort Lauderdale's current requirements and your property's collection arrangement separately.
Is grapple pickup the same as tree removal?
No. Loading a reviewed debris pile is different from cutting a standing tree, extracting a stump or grinding vegetation. Discuss each task separately.
What should I send for an All Out Rubbish quote?
