In a partial removal, the top of the pool is broken out and the shell is left in place, drilled for drainage and backfilled. In a full removal, the whole shell comes out. Full removal usually costs more but leaves fewer questions when you sell or build. Tell us which one you want before we quote.
We handle the demolition permit. The address decides city or unincorporated Palm Beach County review, and some offices inspect the backfill. Electrical and gas lines to the pool equipment must be disconnected first.
Gate width, fences, landscaping and septic or drain-field locations affect how equipment gets in. Say whether you want the area ready for sod, a patio or future building so the fill and finish are written into the scope.

Those are separate scope decisions. Specify which foundations, footings, driveways, pools, fences, trees and outbuildings must go and which must stay. Confirm each item in the written quote; full-house teardown does not automatically mean every improvement on the lot is removed.
Older roofing, siding, flooring and other materials may need assessment before they are disturbed. Ask the applicable environmental authority which survey, notification and abatement rules apply to this building and project. Do not assume a single-family home is exempt from every requirement, and do not treat ordinary demolition as approval for hazardous-material removal.
Agree on the finish standard in writing: debris removal, retained slabs or footings, open excavations, backfill, rough grading and any inspection or closeout documents. A cleared lot is not automatically engineered, compacted or approved for a new foundation.

Reduced technical review for a full dwelling is not a permit exemption. Landscape review can also apply when demolition is submitted without redevelopment. For a property inside a municipality, confirm that city's requirements instead of applying the county checklist automatically.
