Where Rough Grading Fits

Rough grading is about getting the dirt close: clearing surface material, cutting the highs, filling the lows and shaping the general slope. Precision comes later during finish grading. Contractors in Palm Beach County use this phase to get a site workable — staging areas, equipment access and preliminary drainage all get established here.

After Demolition or Clearing

Once a structure, slab, deck or overgrowth comes off a property near Santa Rosa Groves, what's left is rarely level. We reshape the disturbed area, bring in fill where material was removed, and knock the site back down to a consistent working surface.

Material In, Material Out

If the grade is short we can bring in fill dirt or clean fill; if there's excess we can load and haul it off. Handling both directions on one contract keeps you from scheduling a separate delivery vendor and a separate hauler around the same crew.

Rough Grading FAQ — The Acreage

Rough Grading in The Acreage — questions customers actually ask

Who does dirt work and grading in The Acreage?

All Out Rubbish. We handle land grading, yard leveling, rough and finish grading, site preparation, excavation, trenching, backfilling and dirt haul-off in The Acreage and throughout Palm Beach and Broward County, with our own operated equipment.

My yard is uneven. Who can regrade it?

We can. We reshape the surface, bring in fill where the low areas need volume, and shape consistent slopes so water runs where it should. Every grading job is quoted per project after we look at photos or the site.

Water pools in my yard after it rains. Can you reshape the grade?

We regrade surfaces to improve how water moves across a property and can restore swales and shallow drainage paths. We do not make guarantees about flooding or storm events, and anything requiring engineered drainage design is outside what we do.

Can you supply the dirt and do the grading too?

Yes — there are three ways to buy it: material only, material delivered and spread, or complete dirt work where we bring the equipment, the labor and the material and finish the grade.

I need a pad prepared for a shed, patio or slab.

Pad preparation is standard work for us: strip the area, bring in and compact base material, and grade it flat and level for the shed, patio, equipment or pour that is going on it.

Who can dig a trench for a drain or irrigation line in The Acreage?

We run a Kubota U17 mini excavator for trenching — French drain lines, irrigation runs and utility trenches — and we backfill and restore the surface when the line is in.

I have excess dirt or a spoil pile that needs to go.

We load and haul off excess soil, spoil piles and dirt left behind by another contractor, and we can bring in clean fill on the same trip if the site is short somewhere else.

Can you prepare my yard before sod is installed?

Yes. Removing old sod, importing and spreading topsoil, and finish grading to a smooth, even surface is the usual scope before a sod crew shows up.

Who grades a site after a structure is demolished?

We do post-demolition cleanup and grading — clear what is left, bring in fill where the footprint sank, and level the ground back to usable.

How is dirt work priced?

Per project, always. Access, soil conditions, how much material moves and how far it hauls decide the number, so call or text photos to (561) 345-9808 and we will quote the actual job.

Who provides mini skid steer services in The Acreage?

All Out Rubbish runs a Bobcat MT100 mini skid steer, a Bobcat T66 compact track loader and a Kubota U17 mini excavator in The Acreage and across Palm Beach and Broward County. Every machine comes with our operator — we do not rent bare units.

Can I hire the machine and an operator together?

Yes, that is the only way we send equipment out. You can hire equipment and operator time alone, or a full scope where we also supply and haul the material.

Will a machine fit through my backyard gate?

The MT100 mini skid steer is built for exactly that — it clears most standard residential gates, so back-yard grading, hot tub and shed removal, and material moving do not require taking down a fence.

Who can move dirt, rock or mulch into my backyard with equipment?

We can. Moving several yards of soil, gravel or mulch to the back of a The Acreage property takes a machine minutes instead of a wheelbarrow all weekend.

Can you mechanically load a large debris pile?

Yes. The loader picks up brush, demolition debris and construction waste and loads it straight into our dump trailer — much faster and cheaper than hand-loading a big pile.

What machine do you use for tight-access dirt work?

The MT100 for gate-width work, the T66 track loader for open-lot grading, spreading and backfill, and the U17 excavator for trenching, post holes, stump pulling and digging next to structures.

Can you clear an overgrown lot with compact equipment?

Yes — brush clearing, small-tree and vegetation removal, and rough grading afterward, with the debris hauled off in the same job.

Can contractors hire your equipment and operator?

Yes. Builders, landscapers and pool crews in The Acreage bring us in for the earthmoving portion, often with material supply and debris haul-off on the same invoice.

Can I hire compact equipment for a small residential job?

Yes — small jobs are most of what these machines do. There is no full-size skid steer minimum and no reason to tear up a lawn with a machine that is too big for the work.

Can you bring equipment, material and hauling all together?

Yes. Machine, operator, imported material and haul-off of what comes out is a single quoted scope. Call or text (561) 345-9808 with photos and the dimensions.

Can you deliver mulch and spread it for me in The Acreage?

Yes. Delivery plus installation is a single job for us — we bring the mulch, install it in the beds and around trees, and clean up when it is done, instead of leaving a pile in the driveway.

Who can deliver landscape rock and spread it?

All Out Rubbish. We deliver the rock, lay weed fabric if the job calls for it, and spread the stone across beds, side yards or drives in The Acreage.

Can you remove my old rock or mulch before installing new material?

Yes. Scraping out the old material, hauling it off and installing fresh material is a standard scope for us and normally happens in one visit.

I need topsoil spread over the low spots in my yard.

That is top-dressing and yard leveling — we bring the soil, spread it into the low areas and feather it out so the surface drains the way it should. Quoted per project after we see photos of the yard.

Can you spread gravel or crushed concrete on my driveway?

Yes. We deliver the base material and spread and rough grade it with the machine, which is what keeps a gravel or crushed-concrete drive from turning into ruts.

My side gate is narrow. Can material still get to the backyard?

Usually. The MT100 mini skid steer fits through most standard residential gates, and where a machine truly cannot fit we can hand-carry or wheelbarrow the material in.

Can you spread material around a pool or in tight beds?

Yes. Rock and mulch around pool decks, patios and planting beds are hand-finished so nothing gets dumped where it does not belong.

Who provides material spreading in The Acreage?

We do — mulch installation, rock and gravel spreading, topsoil and fill placement, paver base leveling, compost top-dressing and bed preparation across The Acreage and the rest of Palm Beach and Broward County.

Can one company supply, deliver and install the material?

Yes, and that is how most of these jobs are booked: material supply, delivery, spreading, and haul-off of whatever came out, all under one quote.

Can you prepare beds and install weed fabric with the rock?

Yes. Bed edging, fabric and stone installation are part of the same scope when you want the finished look rather than a dumped load.

How much does it cost to remove one couch in The Acreage?

A standard sofa is $75 and a large sectional or sleeper up to about $125 in The Acreage. That includes the carry-out, the drive and the disposal fee.

What does a full load cost?

A quarter trailer load is $175, a half load $295, three-quarters $425 and a completely full 16.6-cubic-yard trailer about $595.

Will you charge me separately for dump fees?

No. Labor, driving, fuel and the dump fee are already inside the quoted number. There is no fuel surcharge, environmental fee or stair charge added afterward.

Can I get a guaranteed price from pictures?

Yes. Text photos to (561) 345-9808 with your city and the price we send back holds, unless the pile turns out materially larger than the photo showed.

Is it cheaper if everything is already outside?

Slightly, on larger jobs, because the load goes faster — tell us when you book and we will factor it in. On single items the flat rate is the same either way.

What's the cheapest way to get rid of junk here?

Your city's free bulk trash day if the items qualify and you can wait — watch the set-out window, since an early pile can draw a code fine starting near $175. After that, our $100/day trailer, then full service from $75.
