Why won't junk removal companies give prices over the phone?

Franchise crews are trained to give the number on site after they have built rapport. That is a sales method, not a pricing limitation.
The only loads that genuinely need weighing are heavy debris — concrete, tile, dirt, roofing — because the transfer station bills by the ton. Everything else prices off volume, which a photo shows fine.
