What We Take

What does the load index on a tire mean?

The load index is the number after the size (for example 94 in 225/60R16 94H) — it tells how much weight each tire can carry. Replacement tires should meet or exceed the original rating.

The letter after it is the speed rating.

Trucks and vans often need higher load ranges.

Your door jamb sticker lists the original.
